    A fork has been embedded in one of the walls for years, and nobody seems inclined to remove it. Spis is a cozy modern Finnish restaurant with only five tables, high ceilings, and exposed brick that leans vaguely industrial. The chefs describe every dish themselves, so by the end of the evening you've spent more time talking about food than most people do in a week. The cooking is vegetable-forward and quietly inventive.
