    Golden tooth-shaped seats and life-size chess pieces signal that this Philippe Starck-designed boutique hotel in the West End takes visual mischief seriously. Rooms are all-white with custom lighting you dial through a full color spectrum, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of a Sixties office block's height. The hidden cocktail bar off the lobby, Blind Spot, is worth hunting down. Covent Garden is right outside.
