    The Victorian Gothic spires and red-brick arches of St. Pancras station have housed a luxury hotel since the building's original life as the Midland Grand, and the painstaking restoration brought all of that back, plus a spa, pool, and The Booking Office bar built inside the old ticketing hall. Rooms lean into the period drama with high ceilings and ornate detailing, while the service is firmly in the modern grand-hotel mode. Bring a budget to match the architecture.
