A husband-and-wife team runs this fine dining spot in downtown Asheville, where the New American menu splits neatly between serious plates and a looser "easy" section of wings, a fried chicken sandwich, and a burger with house-made queso. The seasonal small plates and pastas are the point, but the fact that you can also just snack at the bar keeps the room from taking itself too seriously. Staff bring the Southern charm without the theater.
