    A small, unfussy room on Observatory Hill where Italian fine dining quietly bends the rules, folding kimchi and fried garlic into ricotta-parsnip ravioli without making a scene about it. The chef, a James Beard Award nominee, keeps the menu tight and the flavors bolder than the room's modest size would suggest. This is the kind of Cambridge spot where the cooking is doing something genuinely odd and you're glad it is.
