    Rice fields stretch to the horizon on all sides, and the rest of Bali quietly disappears. This resort a short drive outside Ubud reads less like a typical island property and more like a Balinese country house, all sprawling gardens, a grand central pool, and a spa. Suites come with indoor tubs and outdoor showers; pool villas add private sundecks and ten-meter pools, with saunas and plunge pools in some.
