Taqueria la Guelaguetza
Oaxacan
The trompo here gets more local fanfare than most politicians, and for good reason: al pastor is the gravitational center of this Oaxacan taqueria on National Avenue, Milwaukee's first sit-down location from a south-side truck fleet that's grown into something of a mini empire. The menu sprawls into tlayudas, birria de chivo, volcánes, and mulitas, with aguas frescas to cool things down after the fiery red salsa does its work.
