    A tucked-away tasting menu spot just south of the Mercado de La Merced, small enough that a handful of tables fills the room. There's no printed menu; the chef draws from Oaxaca's Mixteca region and turns indigenous preparations into something precise and colorful. Book through Facebook before you go, and bring cash, because this is not the kind of place that takes surprises lightly, and neither should you.
