    Glass tower next to BC Place, the Douglas is a luxury hotel that splits the difference between slick modernism and loft-industrial warmth. It sits inside the Parq Vancouver complex, so the list of bars, restaurants, and a casino sprawls well beyond the hotel itself. The spa and fitness center are expansive, and the Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels. Good base camp if you want Yaletown walkable but don't need to be inside it.
