A boutique hotel on the Keizersgracht canal, The Dylan sits in a building that was once a theater, which partly explains why it carries itself with a certain quiet drama. The design leans toward the cozy rather than the showy, and the Dutch concept of gezellig, that untranslatable sense of warmth and ease, runs through the whole place, from the tucked-away courtyard to rooms with canal views.
