    A motor lodge in Presidio Heights that traded the freeway aesthetic for sea-glass green walls and mid-century side tables. The Laurel Inn is a small hotel on a quiet residential stretch, close enough to the Presidio trails and Sacramento Street boutiques to feel genuinely local, far enough from downtown to actually sleep. Some rooms come with kitchenettes, which suits anyone staying long enough to stop pretending they'll eat every meal out.
