The white onyx bar alone signals that someone spent serious money on this room, and the pink-and-chartreuse upholstery inside the landmarked Seagram Building does the rest. It's a mod Japanese brasserie where the menu circles back to Japan at every turn: teppanyaki, yuzu-sauced seafood, charred vegetables. The bar pours over thirty Japanese whiskies, which is either a reason to come early or a reason to stay very late.
