The lobby swings from 18th-century tapestry to a minimalist black reception desk lit by chunky candles, and the rooms go the other direction entirely: clean lines, rich wood, earth tones. Three bars on the premises ensure you never have a reason to leave, which is very much the point. Forbes Four Star.
