The bronzed jamón-shaped tap behind the downstairs bar, complete with hoof, tells you everything about the room's sense of humor. Ember Yard is a Soho bar with an Italian and Spanish lean, warm wood tables, brown leather benches, and a Mediterranean feel that stops well short of kitsch. It sits across two floors on Berwick Street, and the crowd tends to arrive hungry as well as thirsty.
