The lobby is an exact replica of the 1962 original, right down to the carpet, because Yoshio Taniguchi rebuilt what his father designed and apparently took notes. This is a full-scale luxury hotel with a Forbes Five Star and a Michelin Key, seven restaurants and bars, a 26th-floor spa, and a 41-story tower with views that make Tokyo look like a scale model. The Heritage Wing leans into traditional Japanese design while staying thoroughly modern where it counts.
