    The wave-shaped architecture here is a nod to an ancient asteroid impact, which is either the most Riviera Maya thing imaginable or the most EDITION thing imaginable, possibly both. Ian Schrager's luxury resort on the Kanai coast runs 182 rooms done in blonde wood and upscale minimalism, all deferring to the view. The lagoon-style main pool is the gravitational center once you arrive, and cenote-inspired plantings cascade through common spaces.
