The building was once a luxury-car showroom, and the hotel that replaced it kept the name and leaned into the mythology. Art Deco details run throughout, but the feel is more contemporary-nostalgic than period-room precious. The Showroom Bar hosts live jazz on Fridays, and the Terrace restaurant does breakfast in a light-filled indoor-outdoor room. A boutique stay on St Kilda Road, selected by the Michelin Guide.
