    Forty quiet rooms a short walk from the Louvre, the Palais Royal, and the Comédie Française, in a neighborhood so good that the hotel wisely doesn't try to compete with it. This small boutique hotel keeps things simple: good furniture, soft lighting, unpretentious design that steps aside and lets Paris do the heavy lifting. Not a spa in sight, which seems like exactly the right call when Place Vendôme is around the corner.
