Utsubohommachi Gaku
Japanese
A kappo counter where the chef pairs seasonal fish with fruit in combinations that sound like a dare and eat like they were inevitable. The philosophy is that originality has to be earned through fundamentals, and the cooking shows it. Organic wines are chosen with the same care as the menu, which leans creative without tipping into spectacle. The room is small and personal, the way Osaka kappo tends to be.
