A roaring fireplace anchors the dining room at this modern Mexican tasting menu restaurant inside Oceanside's Mission Pacific Hotel, where the pier view competes with what's on the plate. Chef Roberto Alcocer named the place after Baja's Valle de Guadalupe wine country, and the list leans into it. A Michelin star landed here for cooking that manages to be inventive without feeling like a dare.
