    A restored palace on the Santa Catarina hill, with original stone archways and hand-painted tilework running up against quietly modern furnishings, and views over Lisbon's terracotta rooftops that make the price of the room feel beside the point. This is a small, adults-leaning hotel, no children under eight, which tells you something about the mood they're after. Staff arrange massages, dinner reservations, and most things in between without being asked twice.
