    A lagoon-ringed boutique hotel a short ride from KL's shopping corridors, Villa Samadhi trades towers and traffic for carved wooden screens, polished floors, and the sound of birds. Villas vary from garden nooks to rooms with open-air Jacuzzis or private plunge pools. A thatched rooftop lounge serves drinks above the treetops. The city is close enough to dip into and far enough to forget.
