A former women's prison in Charlottenburg, Wilmina is a boutique hotel that does the opposite of what you'd expect from a Berlin boutique hotel: it's calm, welcoming, and genuinely serene. Original architectural details survive the renovation, while enlarged windows and natural materials, wood, pressed botanicals, organic mattresses, soften what was once forbidding. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key. A vegetable-focused restaurant, a cocktail bar, a café, and a bakery round out the complex.
