    Hand-exposed murals and timber ceilings run through all 15 rooms of this boutique hotel, housed in one of the few freestanding buildings in Ljubljana's old town. The "Golden Boat" sits on the Ljubljanica River, and its restoration keeps the stonework and layered history of a very old building intact without making you feel like you're sleeping in a museum. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
