The best steakhouses in Zürich, according to the experts: World's 101 Best and Michelin Guide have both weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Williams ButchersTable am Bellevue comes out on top.
More Less
AuGust and parkhuus hold the next two places. Michelin Guide shows up on more of this list than any other guide, with World's 101 Best next.

Steakhouse
You walk in, pick your cut from the counter at the door, and that transaction is the whole philosophy of the place. It's a steakhouse and butcher shop combined, anchored by Swiss LUMA beef alongside Wagyu and USDA Prime, most of it dry-aged, all of it cooked with the conviction that fire and salt are enough. The room is warm wood and soft light, cosy without being precious. Ranked 64th on the World's Best Steak Restaurants list.

Modern Steakhouse
The glassed-in wine library alone is worth pausing over, stocked with international labels alongside natural and organic bottles. This is the Park Hyatt's main dining room, all soaring ceilings, open kitchen, and the kind of lighting that makes everyone look like they closed a deal. The menu runs contemporary European, set or à la carte, with the grill doing heavy lifting: the tomahawk and the Chateaubriand for two draw the suits back reliably.

The butcher's counter runs along the front so you can point at your cut before it hits the grill, which is a reasonable way to open a steakhouse meal. The selection roams from US Prime Black Angus and Japanese Wagyu to Swiss pork and pata negra, and the room leans into old brasserie charm while a terrace with shady trees handles the overflow. Non-diners stop in just to buy meat, which tells you something about the sourcing.
