The Best Steakhouses Near NiMo, by the Record

  1. Potato gratin baked inside a caramelized Vidalia onion shell is about as much as a steakhouse side needs to say for itself. The Butcher's Club sits inside PGA National Resort and leans into the golf-club-steakhouse pairing with no apology, running a classic menu of wagyu, bison, and Florida stone crab. Jeremy Ford's name is on the door, and the prices match the pedigree. Wear a collared shirt and bring someone else's expense account.

  2. Rank 2. Palm Beach Meats

    Wagyu Steakhouse

Half gourmet butcher shop, half casual wagyu restaurant, this West Palm spot earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand by applying one ingredient to almost every item on the menu, including the Nutella brownie. Japanese, Australian, and American wagyu shows up in a breakfast sandwich, a burger, lumpia, and a burrito with tots. The room is wood tables and caramel leather, relaxed enough that the "Nice to Meat You" sign lands without embarrassment.

  3. A gourmet butcher shop and steakhouse tucked into a beachy cottage is not the obvious pairing, but here we are. The chef runs a tight, meat-forward room where ribeyes go over a wood-fire grill and a multicourse omakase hands the whole evening over to the kitchen. The Michelin Guide has taken notice. Finish with the warm cookies and crème anglaise, which lands somewhere between dessert and a dare.

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
