    Alfredo Häberli, the Swiss designer famous for rethinking everyday objects like coat hangers and cutlery, conjured this hotel's interiors as a stylized Zurich in miniature, full of knowing nods to the city's landmarks. It sits in Zurich West, the former industrial quarter that traded factories for galleries and now holds some of the city's liveliest bars and restaurants. Rooms come with bike rentals rather than shoe shines, and rates run well below what Zurich hotels usually demand.
