    The brown brick canal house gives nothing away from the street, but the interior is Dutch designer Marcel Wanders at full volume, all whimsy and plush detail with Alice in Wonderland references tucked into corners. This boutique hotel sits between the Jordaan and the Nine Streets, which means gallery-hopping and vintage shopping are essentially on the doorstep. Bluespoon handles both dining and cocktails when you're done.
