Tucked into a courtyard off the city center, Basta calls itself a gourmet bar rather than a pizzeria, and it mostly earns the distinction. The dough is hand-stretched and Verace Pizza Napoletana certified, coming out light enough to make you reconsider everything Croatia has ever served you on a plate. The menu runs from classic Neapolitan pies to gourmet riffs, with cold cut platters and focaccia filling the gaps. Service is quick and genuinely warm.
