The squid ink spaghetti is black enough to make you self-conscious about your teeth, which tells you something about the vibe here. BoccaLupo is a casual, bustling neighborhood Italian-American spot in Edgewood where the chef takes the food seriously but the room doesn't take itself seriously at all. Southern fried chicken parm, focaccia brushed with honey, quirky cocktails: the menu reads like someone cooked exactly what they wanted and it all happened to work.
