A townhouse near the Vltava and Kinský Garden, Bockem runs breakfast in the mornings and a five-course set menu come evening, with Czech cooking that nods to tradition before quietly doing something unexpected with it. The room is cosy in a pleasantly worn-in way, and the front-of-house team seems to take genuine pleasure in the job, which is rarer than it sounds.
