A butter tower behind the marble bar sets the tone at this apéro-style café and seafood spot on the Vijzelgracht. The menu leans southern European but the fish is properly Dutch, shifting with the seasons and leaning heavily on what the North Sea actually offers. On sunny afternoons the terrace fills fast, and inside, little glasses of Campari-based cocktails catch the light in a way that makes staying for one more very easy to justify.
