    Cafe Malabar is a casual Keralan restaurant where the dosa arrive brittle and chewy at once, a physics problem nobody at the table will bother to solve. The chili butter and the crimson potato masala are both coming, so don't spend long deliberating. There's cumin-heavy fried chicken on the Kerala side of the menu, plus a big dining room and a waterfront patio for lingering. Air Canada put it on its Best New Restaurants list.
