    Cal's Country Kitchen is a meat-and-three on Dickerson Road, run by a son who shut down his own chicken-in-a-waffle-cone operation to take over his mother's old spot. The original sign made the move too, which is the kind of loyalty you can't fake. The menu lives on a handwritten board that changes daily, so plan on a line and a lunch you can't fully predict. Nashville Scene gave it Best Comeback in 2024.
