A colonial house standing on the footprint of an Aztec ceremonial temple, directly across from the Zócalo, restored by a team of architects, stonemasons, and blacksmiths who apparently took the job seriously. This tiny boutique hotel has just three rooms and suites arranged around a stone-arched courtyard, each outfitted in hand-carved furniture, beamed ceilings, and parquet floors. The terraces are generous enough that the whole thing feels like borrowing a very well-connected friend's Mexico City townhouse.
