Two step-gabled houses from 1614 sit side by side near the center of Amsterdam, and the dining room inside feels like a set designer got carried away with Dutch Golden Age props, then forgot to leave. Open fireplace, candlelight, silver cutlery, hand-painted tiles. It's a fine dining restaurant doing refined, seasonal cooking that leans on Dutch produce with French technique. The wine list skews natural with a soft spot for French labels.
