    Five tables, no printed menu, and a Roman chef whose cooking wanders freely between Mexico City and Southeast Asia without stopping to explain itself. Ego is an intimate tasting-room experience in the Ostiense quarter where you pick your number of courses and hand the rest to the kitchen. The front-of-house doubles as sommelier, and the wine pairings by the glass are as considered as the food. Book well ahead.
