    A 79-room boutique hotel inside a lovingly restored Art Deco tower on lower Queen Street, Fable reportedly drew its color palette from Wallis Simpson's jewelry collection, which explains why the headboards come in aquamarine and amethyst rather than the usual beige. Curving staircases and a three-tiered chandelier survived the renovation intact. Cooke's, the ground-floor brasserie, revives the name of the building's original eatery. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels.
