An Austrian café and konditorei on Marylebone High Street, Fischer's does old Vienna without the museum-piece stuffiness. Locals fill the room from breakfast onward for eggs and viennoiserie, then afternoon brings sachertorte and the particular kind of calm that comes from a very good slice of cake. Schnitzels anchor the lunch and dinner menu, golden and properly crisp. The team handle a packed room like it's nothing, which is its own kind of art.
