The reception is a converted 19th-century chapel, and the cloister is now a bistro, so you get the picture. This boutique hotel in Lyon's hilltop Fourvière neighborhood plays the old bones straight while filling the rooms with modernist furniture and black-and-white portraits on the doors. Smaller "cellule" rooms nod to the convent past; suites spread out considerably. A 25-meter lap pool anchors the wellness area, and two restaurants cover both Lyonnais bistro classics and something more formal.
