Grace Hotel, Auberge Collection

Cycladic whitewash and modernist geometry turn out to want the same things, and Grace Hotel makes the case by barely trying. The 23-room boutique property cascades down the cliffs of Imerovigli in terraces, most rooms carrying their own plunge pool and the upper suites adding a private terrace to the arrangement. The infinity pool and the caldera beyond it do most of the selling. A Forbes Four Star and a Michelin Key, adults only, open spring through autumn.
