    The hotel that put Megève on the map has been here forever, and the top-floor rooms tucked under the sloped eaves still feel like proof. Parquet floors, wood beams, and bathtubs with mountain views give this alpine hotel its particular charm, while downstairs a pastry chef runs hot chocolate and sweets beside a fireplace and La Fromagerie serves raclette by candlelight. The rooftop lounge, with wraparound windows and peak panoramas, handles après-ski.
