A Michelin-starred kaiseki restaurant tucked behind Minami-za, the old kabuki theatre at the foot of Gion. The interior channels the Rimpa painting tradition through the hands of several sculptors, and framed calligraphy from the founding chef anchors the room. The kitchen leans into the seasons as seriously as any place in Kyoto, which is saying something, weaving the calendar into every course and decoration.
