Higher Ground

A long island counter runs the length of the room, doubling as open kitchen, pass, and bar, which tells you most of what you need to know about Higher Ground. It's a neo-bistro in Manchester's Chinatown where around ninety percent of the produce comes from the team's own partner farm in Cheshire. Sharing plates lean experimental and seasonal, and the wine list runs deep on low-intervention Europeans and grower champagnes. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand.
