    The cocktail bar is named for the family dog, who is himself named for an architect, which tells you a lot about how this small, family-run hotel operates. Sitting across from Esplanadi Park in central Helsinki, it keeps things calm despite the location: blond wood, spare Nordic rooms with good beds, and a courtyard lounge that earns its keep in warmer months. No restaurant, but central Helsinki hardly leaves you stuck.
