    The sweeping stone staircase that leads to the ballroom tells you everything about what kind of hotel this is, a grand old dame on Esplanade Park where Sibelius once held court. Rooms come with marble bathrooms, the largest suites have their own saunas, and the spa covers everyone else. A full renovation is underway in phases, so expect some flux until 2026, though the hotel stays open throughout.
