  1. The red brick and copper accents are a deliberate echo of Adelaide Central Market, the Victorian covered food hall just outside the door, and the whole hotel is built around that idea. Rooms run warm and graphic-printed rather than bland-boutique-beige. The two in-house restaurants, a modern Italian spot and a rooftop raw bar, pull in locals who didn't come just for the minibar, which is usually a decent sign.

    One honor, in evidence:

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
