Skylights flood the slender dining room here, which helps explain why Fairfax regulars have been packing it since forever. Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo run this easygoing Italian-American cafe built around a long counter and a wood-fired oven that handles both pizzas and pasta with equal confidence. The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand, and the servers move like they know it. Expect lightly charred pies and house-made pasta in a room that never feels like it's trying too hard.
