    A Scottish wine merchant opened this wine bar and bistro near the Palais-Royal decades ago, and his daughter runs it now with her French partner in the kitchen, which feels like the ideal handoff. The menu follows the seasons, the wine list is the point, and you can usually get a table without planning your life around it, which in Paris is its own kind of miracle. Cozy, unpretentious, and thoroughly in on the joke of being a Franco-Scottish institution.
