A 1920s bank building in Nihonbashi, Tokyo's old financial district, now holds one of the city's sharpest boutique hotels. Stockholm firm Claesson Koivisto Rune redesigned the interiors, and the Swedish-Japanese overlap turns out to be less of a stretch than it sounds. Rooms swap the TV for a record player and vinyl library. Every object was custom-designed or hand-made. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
